From 2020 to 2022, the principal of 1626 Construction served as a consultant for a major U.S. Customs House Project in San Juan, working alongside Structural Concrete Systems of Texas as a subcontractor for Perini Construction on a $45M renovation. During this project, she managed critical aspects such as securing permits, navigating government negotiations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing OSHA safety measures. Her hands-on role also included coordinating site inspections and obtaining structural engineering certifications. Additionally, she secured valuable tax exemptions at both local and federal levels, enhancing the project’s financial viability. This comprehensive experience was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the creation of 1626 Construction, linking her expertise to the company’s establishment and its focus on delivering exceptional results in the construction industry.
